What is OpenFilm?
An open source video agent. Your coding agent writes the film as web pages, using OpenFilm's manual and tools, and you watch and edit it in OpenFilm Studio.
How do I use OpenFilm?
Add the skill to your coding agent with npx skills add openfilm/openfilm, then ask it for a video. Without skills, ask it to run npx openfilm and make a video; or run npx openfilm open in a folder yourself.
Do I need an account?
No. Making, editing and rendering films is free and local. For generated voice, music, images and video, your agent uses services you connect with your own keys, such as ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Google or fal.
Which agents work with OpenFilm?
Any agent that can run a command: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Windsurf, Cline, Amp, Devin and more.
How much does OpenFilm cost?
Nothing. OpenFilm is free. The agent and the media services you use bill you directly, under your own plans and keys.
